Cookie policy

What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit. Similar technologies (like local storage) store small pieces of information in your browser. UK law (the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations) requires us to get your consent before using any cookies that aren't strictly necessary — and to make refusing as easy as accepting.
How this site uses cookies
By default, this site sets no marketing or tracking cookies at all. The only things stored without consent are strictly necessary:
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
va-consent | Local storage (strictly necessary) | Remembers whether you accepted or rejected marketing cookies, so we don't keep asking. | Until you clear your browser data |
_fbp, _fbc | Marketing (Meta Pixel) — only set if you click Accept | Used by Meta (Facebook) to measure the performance of our advertising and to show more relevant ads. | Up to 90 days |
Analytics without cookies
We measure site visits using privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics. This counts page views without storing anything on your device and without collecting information that identifies you — which is why it doesn't appear in the consent banner.
Changing your mind
You can change or withdraw your cookie choice at any time using the "Cookie choices" link in the footer of the homepage. If you withdraw consent, the Meta cookies set by this site are deleted. You can also delete cookies through your browser settings at any time.
